Monica Farechild
A seventeen year old girl who nearly dies from an explosion. After being released from the hospital, Monica is alone and her vision is a little sketchy. She claims to have seen her dead sister Mica; Andrea Farehaven must help Monica see that there is more than just seeing ghosts and losing your friends.

Having your friends ditch you for a frat party can make you feel like shit, but when you suddenly see your dead sister, you know something isn't right.

Andrea Farehaven

A loyal friend and cousin, Andrea is the only person that tells her the truth. About everything. That Monica isn't losing her mind. That seeing her dead sister is not a coincidence. A mage by blood and an ally by heart, Andrea Farehaven is a part of The After you never expected to meet.

Mica Farechild

Monica's older sister who was killed at a hit and run in Nashville, Tennessee two years ago. Monica claims to have seen her before and after the explosion at the Matryx, but only those who have or have the ability to cross into The After can see the spirits of the dead.

Mica tries to warn her sister that she is in danger, for there are enemies willing to do anything to stop a Farechild from discovering the truth behind the secrets in The After.

Gwen "Fire-Tamer" Daemon

Gwen is a Fire Demon. She is over four hundred years old but takes the form of a nineteen year old girl. A close friend to Andrea and Mica, Gwen protects Monica with her life, even though she is immortal.

Vivian Deathbloom

With a dark past, the Viper doesn't have any other reason to hide her true nature in The After. A niece of the Grim can scare anyone who lives in The After, even the spirits of the dead. When she is told that the youngest Farechild starts to see her dead sister, Vivian sets it out so that the girl dies in an explosion, even if it risks a few mortal deaths. Who'd think that she would have anything to do with it?

Claude Deathbloom

Resentful and out for mortal blood, Claude is the brother of Vivian Deathbloom and nephew of the infamous Grim Reaper. Curious about his sister's sudden hatred of a young mortal, Claude sets out to find Monica, whether she's alive or on the brink of death. What's the harm in meeting the mortal that your sister despises? Maybe falling in love, but Claude isn't that easy to fool.
